Our quilt from the Quilt Sampler Magazine, embodies the sights, sounds and scents nostalgic of Alberta. It’s reminiscent of a Northern sky glittering with stars, always a wonderful sight on clear, cool nights. From the prairies, the Rocky Mountains can be seen in the distance as these comforting sentinels bordering our province. The flying geese border around the central field of stars typify the common Albertain phenomenon of incessant honking of our migrating geese, as heard in Spring and Fall, announcing the changing of our seasons. When Summer comes, sweet-scented wild roses are in full bloom, while in the Fall, our maple trees provide a deep golden glow and each night, we enjoy the presence of the familiar North Star. The quilt has been done in 2 color ways as well as 3 sizes.
Pattern designed by Lidia Froehler of A Cotton Treasure Design and is available in the May 2012 Quilt Sampler. Magazine required. Additional instructions for the larger quilt are included in the kit.
**The color Tan in the Quilt Sampler Magazine pattern is referred to the color Dk.**
