Baltimore Christmas
Baltimore Album quilts were made in Baltimore between 1846 and 1852. Those beautiful quilts are the inspiration for Pearl Pereira’s Baltimore style quilts.
When Pearl thinks of Christmas the Thomas Neast drawing of Santo comes to mind. He "invented" the image popularly recognized as Santa Claus today.
His Santa Claus was published for the 1862 Christmas season Harper's Weekly cover. It was both of these elements that inspired Pearl to make her Baltimore Christmas quilt.
The 24" center medallion Santa block is surrounded by twelve 12" album style blocks with holly and berry swag applique border. Can be done either by hand or machine.

Charleston Harbor
This program is done in four parts, beginning with an 18" center star medallion bordered by 16 smaller stars.
A combination of chain blocks and flying geese added to the top and bottom of the center unit creating the second installment which transforms the center medallion into a rectangle.
The third installment is a variety of 5 different blocks repeated 2x and surrounded by a double square in square to for easy on-point positioning.
The final installment includes the final 4 blocks repeated 2x and the lay-out and assembly. This is a great opportunity to make a multitude of different blocks using civil war reproduction fabrics. 4 installments

Block of the Month Policy
It is understood that when you register for a Block of the Month program you are registering for the entire program and that you agree to participate for the duration.
We require credit card information on file and the programs will be charged automatically the week prior to the last Saturday of the month as per program.
All programs have a $25 start-up fee: this fee is non-refundable however will be credited to the last installment of the applicable program
All programs are available for pick up in the store beginning the last Saturday of the month. Mail orders will be sent the next business day.
We ask that you check the components in each instalment when they arrive, even if you are not working on the project. If there is a problem or for some reason you do not receive your next expected block, please contact us. We cannot be responsible for missing blocks if you wait to notify us.
Please remember to update us with any new credit card information if your card has expired or have been replaced.
Please note the fabric will be as close to the original fabrics, which means that there may be substitutions.
